Dit was die voorreg van die Redaksie om by twee vorige geleenthede ’n waarderingsgedagte oor prof. D. J. van Rooy uit te spreek. M aar toe was hy nog by ons, hoewel hy sekere gevorderde stadia bereik het. Dit is m et ’n gevoel van sm art dat hierdie derde skrywe geskied. Volgens ons bereke- ning was daar nog soveel vir horn om te verrig. In die raads- plan van God is sy aardse taak afgehandel.
