Abstract

Gen. 1 and 2 Our main problem here is the relationship between these two chapters. Many scholars hold that there is an irreconcilable discrepancy between Gen. 1 and 2, or more precisely between Gen. 1—2 : 4a (or 4)and Gen. 2 : 4b (5) to the end of Gen. 3. The first document is ascribed to P and the second to J.
