Waar die Indiese Minister van Onderwys,K. L. Shrimali, die jongstekongres van die „New Education Fellowship” in Delhi toegespreek het, het hy etlike punte van kritiek kwytgeraak wat, afkomstig uit daardie bron, nogal belangrik is. Hy wys o.a. daarop dat as slegs die belangstellings van kinders as basis vir hulle onderwys moet dien, dan kan die „progressiewe onderwys” slegs met sekerheid staat maak op twee produkte, ,.complaints and cripples”. aarom is die skool daar om waardevolle en sluimerende belangstellings te prikkel.
